Each front end keeps its own purchase journey. The Gateway works behind the scenes, applying the rules your business sets consistently and bringing everything together in a single point of control.
Your checkouts stay as they are. The complexity moves into the Gateway.
Many sites, one control centre
When a business sells through several sites (an online shop, a subscription platform, a services portal, an app), its payments tend to fragment.
Each site has its own integration, reporting is scattered, invoices go out in different ways, and the rules on withdrawal rights and consent are applied case by case. Every new site starts from scratch, and so do the risks.
DreamersWare Payments Gateway brings it all together in a single system under your control. Your sites hand the payment over to it; the Gateway runs the payment process, issues the tax documents, records the compliance evidence and sends the notifications, always under the same rules, and gives you a single view of your entire cash flow.
This is not an off-the-shelf platform you have to bend to fit. It is a mature product that we configure and tailor to your needs: your payment providers, your tax regime, your languages, your brand.
Your checkout stays yours; the rules live in one place
The Gateway is headless: it imposes no payment pages of its own. The purchase journey stays on your sites, in your own design. The sensitive decisions, on the other hand, are made by the Gateway: calculating tax, validating consent, storing the evidence and issuing the documents.
- The site opens a checkoutand states the commercial category of each item.
- The Gateway returns the required consentsfor that sale, with the official wording in several languages.
- The site shows them to the customercollects the ticked boxes and passes them back to the Gateway, which validates them and stores them as evidence.
- The customer payson the payment provider’s secure page.
- The Gateway notifies the site of the outcomewith a signed message. Only then is the purchase unlocked, never merely because the browser has returned to the site.
- The Gateway issues the receipt or invoiceand sends the customer the order confirmation on a durable medium.
Payments
- Card payments through your provider, on a hosted page: card details never touch your sites or the Gateway.
- Managed bank transfers: the Gateway generates the instructions and payment reference, the waiting period is configurable and receipt of funds is confirmed from the console. Your IBAN is changed in one place only.
- Interchangeable providers: each method is a separate module, so new channels (other payment service providers, cryptocurrencies, local payment methods) can be added without touching your sites.
- No double charges, and no amount altered on its way from the site to the payment.
Subscriptions
- Card saved securely on the first purchase, free trial periods, automatic renewals.
- Failed payments handled with staggered retries and automatic suspension; reactivation as soon as the customer updates their card.
- Plan changes from the next renewal; cancellation with immediate effect or at the end of the period.
- Advance renewal notices by email and expected cash flow for the next six months, VAT included.
Invoicing and tax
- Six-case tax engine: B2B and B2C, in Italy, the EU and outside the EU, with VAT extracted from gross prices, out-of-scope supplies and reverse charge all handled automatically.
- Electronic invoices through SdI, Italy’s national e-invoicing exchange system, with the FatturaPA XML (the Italian e-invoice format) generated in-house, for customers abroad too.
- PDF receipt for every B2C payment, and an invoice on request, even after the purchase.
- EU VAT number checks against VIES, the EU’s official system, with the consultation reference archived.
Compliance
- Seven commercial categories: from the category, the Gateway works out the right of withdrawal, the required consents and the order lifecycle. Your sites need no knowledge of the Italian Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo, which implements EU consumer law).
- Proof of consent with the exact wording, language, version, timestamp and cryptographic hash.
- Withdrawal line by line, and the separate B2B acceptance of onerous clauses required by Articles 1341–1342 of the Italian Civil Code.
- Order confirmation on a durable medium: a PDF with an integrity seal.
Refunds and console
- Every refund needs manual approval from an authorised person: no money is paid out without a human decision.
- Separate roles, including read-only access for your accountant; two-factor authentication.
- Emergency stop for a single site or the whole Gateway, in one click.
- Health status of every integration, with real-time alerts.
Developers and security
- Signed REST APIs (HMAC-SHA256) with replay protection and per-site limits; signed webhooks covering more than twenty events, with automatic redelivery.
- Official SDK and versioned documentation; integrations in production in TypeScript, PHP and Python.
- Secrets encrypted at rest, an append-only accounting ledger, encrypted off-site backups.
- Data and infrastructure in the European Union; over 490 automated tests on every release.

Run by DreamersWare
We host and maintain your Gateway in a dedicated environment within the European Union, with updates, monitoring, backups and support included.
On your own servers
We install the Gateway in your infrastructure and support you with maintenance and updates on a subscription basis.
The money never passes through us. In both cases, payments go from the payment provider straight to your account, under your own contract with the provider. The Gateway is the software that coordinates the whole process; it is not a financial intermediary.

The Gateway did not start life as a sales prototype. We built it for the DreamersWare ecosystem of sites, where it has been handling real payments and real electronic invoices since July 2026.

- Do we have to rebuild our checkouts?
- No. The Gateway is headless: your sites keep their own interface and only need to call the Gateway and display the consents.
- Can we keep our current payment provider?
- Normally, yes. If your provider is not supported yet, we build a dedicated module for it.
- Are the legal texts ready to use?
- We provide a complete starting set, structured in line with Italian and EU law. Your own legal and tax advisers must still review it before you adopt it, and we adapt it to their advice.
- Who sees our customers’ data?
- In the managed service we act as your data processor, under an Article 28 GDPR agreement and on EU infrastructure. When the Gateway runs on your own servers, the data stays entirely with you.
